We recently had the pleasure of working with Hydramech for the installation of our new wastewater treatment plant, and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. Throughout the entire process, the communication and workmanship from the entire Hydramech team was outstanding, delivering a plant that has exceeded our expectations. From the initial planning stages to the final installation, they maintained clear and open lines of communication, keeping us well-informed every step of the way and addressing any concerns or alterations needed promptly and without hassle. The quality of the workmanship was exceptional, and the installation was completed on time and on budget just in time for vintage.

We have been thoroughly impressed with the performance of the plant, and it has simplified the management of our wastewater no end, allowing us to concentrate on winemaking rather than compliance. One of the standout features of the plant is the online portal that allows remote monitoring of the operation and performance, ensuring we are confident in meeting any and all of councils record keeping and reporting requirements. Hydramech's expertise and meticulous approach throughout the entire process gave us the utmost confidence that the operational design they proposed would be a success, leaving us with a wastewater treatment plant that we can rely on and will meet our needs well into the future.

We got Hydramech Ltd to design, build and commission a replacement Wastewater Treatment Plant. It replaced an older style plant which was inadequate for the growing rurally based winery. The new plant needed to be user friendly, cost effective, and capable.

We looked at a few previous plants they had designed and built. These were performing very well.

Hydramech built our plant for our 2023 vintage. The plant is highly automated with a good level of remote control. This provides good data and record keeping ensuring good environmental compliance.

Their standard of workmanship is high. Communication was good. The Plant has performed operationally well and to expectations. We are about to start our second harvest with the plant. The use of a local based experienced company means that service is second to none.

Recently we engaged the services of Hydramech again, to pipe/plumb up newly purchased equipment. Hydramech gave us the best options, services and installed in a very timely manner due to the nature of the season.

We use Hydramech as our preferred contractor for stainless pipework, plumbing, gas and wastewater as their expertise in these fields is trusted. Great communication and workmanship, these put together gives us the knowledge we are using the right company for the right job.

In 2013, Hydramech Ltd. was engaged by Whitehaven Winery Ltd. to install a Continuous Flow Activated Sludge, Wastewater Treatment Plant, capable of treating wastewater generated from a 7,500T crush winery and up to 200,000lts/day. The primary goal of the plant was to significantly reduce winery wastewater BOD, ensuring no obnoxious odours detectable at the boundaries of our winery, and wastewater disposal field sites.

The initial plant was installed and operational by February 2014 and mid 2020 the plant was expanded (addition of a 2nd bioreactor) to treat wastewater generated from a 12,000T crush winery.

I have every confidence in the capability of Hydramech’s WWTP when it comes to BOD and odour reduction (if managed/operated correctly) and I’m pleased to confirm that Whitehaven has not received any official odour complaints since installation of plant and through to today, 19-03-2024.

Over the past couple of years, we have been lucky enough to work with Hydramech on several projects, ranging from fixed lines, wine export sterile skid and automated press line manifolds. Each project has been completed with the highest of standards and on time and on budget.

From design concept to completion the team at Hydramech make things very easy with great communication and adaptability throughout the project. Even when given tough timeframes to complete a job they have always come through and made it work.
